The <PubML>™ Publishing Tools allow you to export eBooks in either <PubML>™ format or ePub2 format. The left side of the export screen displays your book cover and all the metadata associated with your book. This metadata is used by traditional eReader devices to sort/organize eBook libraries by author, subject, publication date, etc. The short description field is intended to be read by search engines when your <PubML>™ eBook is indexed. Use the "edit metadata" button if you need to make revisions or updates before exporting your eBooks.

Export to <PubML>™
<PubML>™ Ebooks can be either exported or embedded.
Embedding <PubML>™ Ebooks
Copy the shortcode (circled in the image above) and paste it into any WordPress post or page to display your book inside your WordPress website. Your viewers will see a preview image of your book cover and background and options to click to read the book within the page or within a full-screen preview window.
Embedded <PubML>™ Ebooks are fully functional with the exception that bookmarking does not work (when embedded, the bookmark "ribbon" is hidden). Each page of a <PubML>™ Ebook has its own unique URL (web address) but these addresses don't display when the book is embedded.
Embedded books are presented as preview images because otherwise, the entire <PubML>™ Ebook would have to load along with your page or post. This would slow down your site and consume iunnecessary resources.
Exporting <PubML>™ Ebooks
To export your <PubML>™ Ebook as a zipped bundle of files, click the "Download <PubML>™" button. If you're a registered user, you'll see some flashing dots while your files are rendered. When your eBook has been compiled, you'll be presented with a second download button. Click it and retrieve your eBook from your downloads folder.A <PubML>™ Ebook is a self-contained website. Offer the zipped bundle of files as a digital download or expand the archive and install the files on a web server to display your eBook as a website with a custom domain name.
Exporting EPub Ebooks
Use ePub export to create traditional eBooks. Upload your ePub eBooks to popular eBookstores. To export as ePub, click the "Download ePub" button. If you're a registered user, you'll see some flashing dots while your files are rendered. When your eBook has been compiled, you'll be presented with a second download button. Click it and retrieve your eBook from your downloads folder.
Note: Exported ePub eBooks use the ePub2 standard. Footnotes, media links, custom page and screen backgrounds, dropcap fonts, and other <PubML>™ Ebook features will not be part of your ePub eBook. <PubML>™ Ebooks were created partially to address inconsistent support of standard eBook features between various eReader platforms. Though different eReaders will display your ePub eBook differently, your eBook will respect your table of contents and much of your typographic styling.
ePub Export Tip: You may wish to embed images in an ePub file that you would normally display in a <PubML>™ Ebook media popup. Consider making separate versions of your book for <PubML>™ and ePub export. Embed images in the pages of your ePub eBook or create full-page image sections to be included in your table of contents. Use <PubML>™ media links in your <PubML>™ Ebook to reduce file size and visual clutter.
